Dinner at Zong (The Fort Strip)

What: Wednesday dinner
Where: The Fort Strip
Food: Singaporean food

Today is a lazy day because of the upcoming Holy week. I almost dozed off in my office so I went outside and go around the bookstore. My officemates decided that we go out for dinner. Zong was the pick of the night. I already ate on this restaurant a lot of time and I totally enjoyed the food. It's been a long time since we last eat on this place. It was a surprise for me because they renovated the place and it was nice although I miss the tables and chairs outside.

What we ordered:

Chicken in Salted Egg Yolk - this is very yummy. It was full of flavors.

Malaysian Style String Beans - the vegetables are very crunchy. It was a bit spicy but it was still good.

Ma Po Tofu - very tasteful and the tofu are very soft.

Steamed Fish Fillet with Soy Sauce - I loved the fish. It was well cooked and the sauce was very good.

This restaurant never disappoints me so far. It's a great place for a group dinner so you can try more dishes. Love it!

Hall Pass (Movie 2011)

Movie title: Hall Pass
Screening time: 8:15pm
Where: Power Plant Mall

I never thought that I will actually like this movie. The storyline was very simple but it was so funny. I enjoyed watching it. Every punch line was just hilarious.

It's a story about two married guys named Fred and Rick who cannot help themselves look at other women even when their wives are with them. It was suggested to the wives that they should give their husbands a "hall pass" - which means they will have a week off their marriage life without any consequences. They can do whatever they want for one whole week. At first they totally enjoyed the freedom. Several days passed but they didn't seem to be successful on their plans.

On the other side, the wives were on vacation with the kids on a beach resort with a bunch of baseball team. They were worried about the hall pass they gave with their husband but eventually shoved off the ideas and just enjoy the weekend.

Days have past. Hilarious things happened. Did the husbands finally get what they want? Watch it and enjoy!

City of Ashes (The Mortal Instruments, Book2)

Title: City of Ashes (The Mortal Instruments, Book 2)

Author: Cassandra Clare
Publisher: Margaret K. McElderry
Edition: Hardcover

I was so surprised about the end of book one. A very interesting relationship between Clary and Jace made me crazy. Just a little bit. By the end of book one, it was very clear that they cannot have a relationship other than a brother and a sister to each other. I didn't buy it at that time that is why I'm eager to finish book 2 to know if they are really brother and sister. I still loved it because its characters went to a whole new level. I love Simon and I love Jace even better.

Clary felt something for Jace but now she needs to tell herself that Jace is his brother and she has to deal with that. Right now she sort of dating Simon, his best friend. Simon was happy about it. At this time, they also know that Valentine, Clary and Jace's father is now planning on something evil. He already has the mortal cup and they know that he's not finished yet. Jace was not trusted by the Clave anymore especially the Lightwoods who took care of him when he's supposed father died. Clary's mom is still in a coma.

There's a love triangle, vampire reborn, werewolves under Luke's pack and a lot of teenage angst circled around friends and siblings. Another problem arise when Downworlders were found dead and drained with blood. Clary also found out that she has another gift which could be of help to defeat Valentine. Jace seemed to realize that he has more power than other Shadowhunters. All they know that they are special.

Will this be the end of Valentine? He's smart and now summoning stronger demons for his evil plan. They need to stop them... but how?

Lincoln Lawyer (Movie 2011)

Movie title: Lincoln Lawyer
Screening time: 8:50
Where: Greenbelt 3

After the hair make over, I met another friend and went to Greenbelt for our group movie date. Lincoln Lawyer was the best choice at that time. All I know about this movie was, it's a courtroom drama and its Matthew McConaughey. The movie was really good. You just need to pay attention to follow the story. It's a great movie. The role was perfect for Matthew.

The story is about this L.A criminal lawyer named Mickey Haller. He usually operates at the back of Lincoln sedan. He goes around the city and meeting different clients. He's a very busy lawyer. Most of his career, his time was spent defending different kinds of criminals. He's really good and he knows the loops.

Everything was perfectly fine when he lands the case of his career. He met his new client Louis Roulet, a Beverly Hills playboy accused of rape and attempted murder. He knows he can get away with it but what he thought was a simple straightforward case develops into a deadly game of wits and survival.

Now he needs to make things right again.

Total Repair (@ Bench Fix)

I have a colored curly hair. I did the color and highlights last December 2010. I was supposed to go back for the treatment because aside from my natural big curls, it's frizzy. It's always been my hair problem. Since I always got lazy to go to the parlor I just make sure I put a lot of conditioner on my hair. That is not going to be enough. My hair was super dry. This afternoon I decided I want a haircut, just a haircut. I checked the beauty salon's menu and found out that the prices for the hair treatments are quite okay for me so when the stylist checked my hair, he told me I badly needed a hair treatment. I told him to go ahead. He suggested the total repair treatment because of the dryness of my hair.

The salon I went to was Bench Fix in Serendra, Fort Bonifacio. The service was okay. My only not so good comment was that the salon's a bit cramp. The stylists almost bump into each other because the chairs are so close together. They still do the usual process - shampoo, haircut, treatment, and blow-dry. I got a bonus massage which I love. They take time in doing the haircut and blow-dry which I also like because I don't want them to rush even if they have a lot of customers waiting. At least they're thorough. I'll definitely go back again for the treatment.

I know I should not be neglecting this part because I color my hair regularly. For those of you who like to style and color their hair, always go for the follow-up treatment. Believe me when I say that you'll need it. Especially those people who has a kind of hair like me.
