Clockwork Prince (Infernal Devices, Book 2)

Title: Clockwork Prince (Infernal Devices, Book 2)
Author: Cassandra Clare
Edition: Advance reading copy

Publication date: December 6, 2011

First of all I am not going to write spoilers on this post. I received my copy and after reading the "Son of Neptune", I immediately started this book.

I was so excited to read this because the character of Tessa Gray fascinates me. I finished it and I am happy about the book. It kept me awake until the wee hours of the morning because I couldn't stop reading.

Book video for your viewing pleasure.

Book Description:

In the magical underworld of Victorian London, Tessa Gray has at last found safety with the Shadowhunters. But that safety proves fleeting when rogue forces in the Clave plot to see her protector, Charlotte, replaced as head of the Institute. If Charlotte loses her position, Tessa will be out on the street—and easy prey for the mysterious Magister, who wants to use Tessa’s powers for his own dark ends.

With the help of the handsome, self-destructive Will and the fiercely devoted Jem, Tessa discovers that the Magister’s war on the Shadowhunters is deeply personal. He blames them for a long-ago tragedy that shattered his life. To unravel the secrets of the past, the trio journeys from mist-shrouded Yorkshire to a manor house that holds untold horrors, from the slums of London to an enchanted ballroom where Tessa discovers that the truth of her parentage is more sinister than she had imagined. When they encounter a clockwork demon bearing a warning for Will, they realize that the Magister himself knows their every move—and that one of their own has betrayed them.

Tessa finds her heart drawn more and more to Jem, though her longing for Will, despite his dark moods, continues to unsettle her. But something is changing in Will—the wall he has built around himself is crumbling. Could finding the Magister free Will from his secrets and give Tessa the answers about who she is and what she was born to do?

As their dangerous search for the Magister and the truth leads the friends into peril, Tessa learns that when love and lies are mixed, they can corrupt even the purest heart.

Son of Neptune (Heroes of Olympus, Book 2)

Title: Son of Neptune (Heroes of Olympus, Book 2)
Author: Rick Riordan
Edition: Hardcover

I've been waiting for this book from the time I finished The Lost Hero; the first book of Heroes of Olympus. I like the Jason character and I missed Percy because he was "missing" on this book. I love the fact that the author introduces more demigods.

I'm a fan of the character Percy of the Percy Jackson series. It was funny, full of adventure, and I get to learn a lot of Greek gods and goddesses. Son of Neptune was for me pure fun. It has a cliffhanger ending of course and I have to wait for the next installment of this book. I want to read The Lost Hero again just to refresh my memory of the things that happened in that book.

I just hope Rick Riordan write more books of this kind.

Thank you Steve Jobs.

Thank you Steve Jobs.

ipod touch 4G 8gb

With all the gadgets that pop left and right I would still say that nothing beats Apple. I just recently owned an ipad 2 and ipod touch. Now I'm confused on how to use it properly. I rarely use my laptop right now because I can check any updates on my ipad. I just love it. I'm still exploring it like crazy.

It was sad because the genius behind these amazing gadgets recently passed away. I just hope Apple would still continue to do great things in the future. I know they will.

Thank you Steve Jobs for these amazing things. You are brilliant and you will be missed.

Fever (The Chemical Garden Trilogy, Book 2)

Title: Fever (The Chemical Garden Trilogy, Book 2)

Author: Lauren DeStefano
Publisher: Simon and Schuster
Edition: Advance Reading Copy

I already received my ARC (advance reading copy) and I'm excited to read this. The book will be released on Feb 21, 2012. This series looks promising with all dystopian novels coming out.

Book Summary:

Rhine and Gabriel have escaped the mansion but haven't outrun the danger. On the outside, they encounter a landscape as mysterious and threatening as the one they left behind. Despite the perils, the two are determined to get to Manhattan and to relative safety with Rhine's twin brother, Rowan. But in a world where young women only live to age twenty and young men to age twenty-five, time is precious. Even worse, they can't seem to elude Rhine's father-in-law Vaughn, who is determined to bring Rhine back to the mansion ... by any means necessary.

In this sequel to Lauren DeStefano's harrowing Wither, Rhine must decide if freedom is worth the price - now that she has more to lose than ever.

my thoughts...

I hope this is better than Wither. =) It looks like it...
